Simulation Non-Equilibrium Arc Plasma in SF6 Circuit Breaker Based on Lattice Boltzmann Method

circuit breakers. The arc plasma is divided into electrons, ions, and neutral particles for simulation, deriving the non-equilibrium arc mathematical model. The mathematical model includes the flow field governing equation and the energy field governing equation. An SF

circuit breaker is taken as the research object, establishing a simulation model to simulate the arcing process with a breaking time of 50ms, arcing time of 15ms, and peak current of 50kA. The temperature distribution of these particles in the arc extinguishing chamber during the arcing process is obtained. The results show that their temperature is different in space-time distribution. Through the comparison of calculated arc temperature and experimental ones, the feasibility of LBM in the field of arc numerical simulation is verified.
