Border Vectorization for Ice Detection Problem

The article describes the problem of image vectorization applied to the task of delineating the boundaries of ice floes in order to further accuracy of object boundary definition. The analysis of existing approaches of raster image vectorization is carried out and advantages and disadvantages of each of the approaches are considered with reference to the task of ice floe boundaries extraction for the purpose of further accuracy of object boundary definition.
