MIMO Radar Lossy Data Flow Decreasing Technique with Pseudo-Random Receivers’ Duty Cycle Sequence

Multiple input – multiple output radar devices are heavily data loaded systems, as each of the receivers generates its own signal samples flow. Modern devices are able to produce dozens of gigabytes per second of data and being the continuous wave radar some of the systems do not have the facility to buffer the data in intermediate storage. Thus, it would be useful to have a method to flexibly decrease the data flow rate in which it is possible to exchange the flow for the equivalent amount of integral energy. An apparent solution is to introduce the duty cycle into the receivers’ timing diagram. But the questions arise: how to make it flexible and adjustable, how to reduce the uneven discretization noise, how to route and store the data. The paper proposes a simple technique that tries to answer these questions.
