Identification of Seal, Signature and Fingerprint from Malayalam Agreement Documents using Connected Component Analysis

Seal, Signature and Fingerprint are the key authenticity components in an agreement document. An interrogation is important for component-based search of an agreement document image from scanned document repositories. In this work, a novel method that detects seal, and fingerprint from Malayalam agreement documents using color space transform and detects signature by pixel-based contour detection method has been proposed. The proposed method outperforms with an average F score of 84.9% for various agreement dataset.
