Simultaneously Reconfigurable Multispectral Microscopic Imaging Based on a Digital Micromirror Device

The work presents a simultaneously reconfigurable multi-wavelength microscopic imaging system based on a digital micromirror device (DMD). The principle is that a DMD-based

system is programmed to filter out the unwanted wavelengths from a wideband light and the remnant light shines the two-dimensional (2D) samples and passes a diffractive microscopic imaging system. Up to 18-wavelengths images are achieved covering from 700 nm to 810 nm and the interval of carrier wavelengths is 6.4 nm. The impact of spatial dispersion on
$x$
-axis resolution is analyzed. The imaging resolution is verified to be 2.46
$\mu \text{m}$
when the spectral linewidth is 0.16 nm. The field of view (FOV) of 18-wavelengths imaging system is 75
$\mu \text{m}$
