FBMC-OQAM Helping Pilots Application for Synchronization and Channel Estimation Sequences

FBMC-OQAM technology is of great interest for communication systems beyond 5G and 6G. Increasing data rate requirements need more flexibility allocation of resources used for channel estimation. In this work, an extension of the helping pilot symbol generation algorithm for estimating the frequency response of a multipath channel and synchronization in FBMC-OQAM systems for preamble sequences was considered by jointly calculating the helping pilot symbol values. simulation modeling of the described algorithm was carried out to estimate performance of this algorithm and compare it with existing solutions. Also were proposed methods for reducing computational complexity of this algorithm.
