Advanced Power Management System for Renewable energy-based fusion Microgrid

The fusion system is comprised of bidirectional converters that interconnected ac and dc microgrid networks. The ac microgrid combines AC power supply sources and AC loads, whereas the dc microgrid connects DC power supply sources and DC loads. To compensate for the solar output power fluctuation, a battery storage system (BSS) is integrated with a dc network. The proposed fusion microgrid system operates in either grid connected mode or autonomous mode. The proposed enhanced power flow algorithm controls power flow in a fusion microgrid. Wind speed and solar irradiance level unpredictability and irregular behavior are also taken into consideration in control and operation of system. The simulation results show that when the mode of system changes, the system can control and manage stably operation under the projected advanced power management system.
