Benchmarking of digital maturity models according to the dimension component

Digital maturity assessment is a prerequisite for any digital transformation project. The assessment allows public or private organisations to know their current digital maturity levels in order to know where to start for their digital transformation projects. In this article, we conducted a qualitative and quantitative analysis of 30 digital maturity models identified in the literature in relation to the dimensions of an ontological model derived from the literature, which proposes 9 knowledge domains and 18 sub-domains that should be taken into account in any digital transformation project. These analyses made it possible firstly to check whether the knowledge domains proposed in the ontological model covered all the dimensions of the 30 models studied and secondly, these qualitative and quantitative analyses made it possible to determine the degree of usability of these knowledge domains by the digital maturity models identified in the literature.
