An Improved Switched-Coupled-Inductor quasi-ZSource Inverters

This paper proposes an improved switched coupled-inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (ISCL-qZSI). The proposed inverter has higher boost ability and lower voltage and current stresses on components than other existing topologies. The turn ratio of ISCL-qZSI is less than 1 (n<1), leading to the size of the inductive element small. The operation principles of ISCL-qZSI and comparisons with SCL-qZSI and mSSCL-qZSI over boost ability are analyzed theoretically and verified by a 1 kW prototype.
