An Efficient Approach to Identify the Key Factors of Failure of Bangladesh Cricket Team in Test Cricket Utilizing Hypothesis Testing and Clustering Method

Bangladesh is not doing well in Test cricket for a long time. We have tried to find out the reasons behind the Bangladesh Cricket Team’s failure in Test Cricket with the help of hierarchical clustering, paired sample t-Test, and regression analysis. Our study established a connection between Bangladesh’s poor performances in Test cricket. We conducted our research based on the players who debuted for Bangladesh between 2005 to 2020. Our initial thought was the lack of first-class involvement of Bangladeshi players but at the end of our study, there are new outcomes. Our results are capable of finding the reason behind Bangladesh’s poor performance as well as the player’s individual career development that also showed who is the better and who is the promising player for Bangladesh cricket. Our findings are as accurate as they could be. The clustering we used showed a great outcome. The paired t-Test helped with our hypothesis by showing a relation among the data we gathered. We Tested the mean, standard deviation, and p-value. We also applied Pearson Correlation in our research.
