Artificial Intelligence Techniques based Congestion Management in Restructured Power Systems: A Review

The transmission lines congestion supervision becomes extremely important in the competitive electricity marketplace. The congestion creates hindrance to the electric power trading. The unacceptable management of electric power exchanges could build the congestion cost which is an undesirable weight on clients. This paper elucidates artificial intelligence techniques for congestion management in deregulated power environment. In addition, most effective techniques are identified for the test cases to solve the congestion management problem in deregulated regime.
