Design of Two-Element Antipodal MIMO Antenna for ISM Band Application

This paper presents, quasi and antipodal configurations of two-element MIMO antenna for ISM band applications, where antipodal MIMO antenna has more than 20 dB isolation and 0.03 envelope correlation coefficient (ECC). This compact MIMO antenna exhibits pattern diversity and its area is

, which makes it useful for handheld devices. A compact meander loaded antenna of resonance frequency 5.8 GHz and impedance bandwidth of 240 MHz is used as elements for the MIMO antenna.
