Influence of Photothermal Effect on Thermal-photon Emission

In existing cathode thermal-photon emission experiments, it is found that the measured current density/quantum efficiency is significantly higher than the estimated result of Fowler-DuBridge (FdB) equation in the temperature region close to the operating temperature. And till now, this phenomenon still hasn't been well explained. In this paper, we studied the influence of photothermal effect on thermal-photon emission. Simulation results show that the consideration of temperature increase induced by photothermal effect can explain the phenomenon to some extent.
