An Iron-Cored Transformer Magnetic Characteristics Measuring Circuit

A measuring circuit to determine the magnetic characteristics has been built in our research. This circuit applied to a ferromagnetic core already wounded low kVA transformer. It is able to determine the hysteresis loop family and the magnetization curve of the transformer core material under test. This is very important step in checking the transformer performance as well the effect of the no-load current non-sinusoidal waveform behavior. The implemented circuit able to determine the unknown magnetic characteristics of ferromagnetic material. It Satisfies an explanation in teaching the ferromagnetic material behavior as a core in electromagnetic devices.
