UAV Aided Fog Network (UAFN): A Proposal Framework for Better QoS

In the race of technological advancement, UAVs are becoming a trend worldwide. From every corner of the world, UAVs are considered to be a boon in the industrial, military, and space revolution. Apart from this, the UAVs also support critical applications such as disaster management, cyclones aid, pandemic control, agriculture, surveillance, goods delivery, and so on. In traditional UAV wireless networks, the network has some lacks in terms of latency, network overload, power consumption, security, data computation, coverage, and capacity. To handle the inefficiencies of traditional UAV networks, the UAVs with Fog computing systems can collaborate and accomplish missions more quickly and affordably. The role of Fog computing is to distribute data in a decentralized way and provide services at the edge of the network. It is a well-known solution for storing a large volume of user data and maintaining low latency throughout the network. The pace of development of collaborative UAVs and fog computing networks to support real-time applications with minimum latency and high performance. This paper presents a proposed framework on a multi-UAV-based Fog Network (UAFN) to provide services in real-time applications very efficiently. This network is supposed to provide services with ultra-low latency. Furthermore, we highlight some of the open issues faced by UAV-based Fog networks.
