Distributed Generation Installation by Expansion Planning through optimization to support Grid

The Distributed generations (DG’s) has diminished transmission, good power quality, distribution resource, increased reliability. In view of changes in the power supply interest, the small scale generations distributed to the low or medium voltage network has huge significance. The goal of optimal solution is to reduce the losses, Initial and Operational expenses, and Improvement in voltage variation. The optimization method is applied to 30 bus network. While arranging the extension and activity of distribution system, supply board has a specialized limitation, which should be viewed as investment choices on the characteristics of the distributed network with the expansion planning. This paper presents about solar, wind plants at different places to install a new RES based DG and also distribution expansion planning using Particle Swarm optimization.
