Monochromatic Near Field Calculation of Aperture Antenna and Its Accuracy

This work presents a study of the electromagnetic field that is created by a flat circular aperture in the near zone. The analytical method, used for calculating the impulse response function (IRF), adequately estimates the electromagnetic field intensity of the aperture antenna when a monochromatic signal is radiated. This is shown via comparison the well-known finite integration method (FIT) calculation results with analytical ones. The advantage of the analytical method in terms of computing resources is presented.
