Orbital Angular Momentum Based Isolation in Full Duplex Systems

Full duplex wireless systems suffer from self-interference due to crosstalk between the transmitter and receiver antennas operating in proximity of each other. The orthogonal nature of signal carrying different orbital angular momentum modes, can be used to create an isolation between two adjacent transmitter and receiver antennas. This has been shown experimentally and through simulations in High frequency simulation software (HFSS). To date we have been able to achieve an isolation of 3.6dB through simulations, and 2.6dB through experiments.
