Wireless Charging Shielding Structure with Periodic Slots in UAVs for Weigh Reduction

In the wireless charging application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), lightening the load is a key to prolonging flying time and battery life. This paper proposes a method that can relieve the weight of electromagnetic shielding structures. This method can greatly reduce the load on the receiving side of wireless charging system with the magnetic shielding effect and coupling strength of the coupling mechanism unaffected. By reducing load weight, the proposed method can improve the battery performances of UAVs.
