Asymmetric CT-Burst Correcting Integer Codes

Integer codes which have recently gain momentum due to the processor being used as both encoder and decoder makes a better choice for consideration than the classical linear codes which rely on encoding/decoding hardware. This paper presents integer codes capable of correcting asymmetric CT-bursts of length
$l$
within a b-bit byte. Use of integers and table look ups make these codes eligible for implementation in all processors. Implementation of these codes in a quad-core processor is demonstrated and are compared with codes of this type in terms of memory, table look ups, code rate making it a suitable choice in optical networks without optical amplifiers.
