An optical fiber composite power cable panoramic state monitoring system for typical scene application

This paper proposes an optical fiber composite power cable panoramic state monitoring system scheme for typical scene application. The power cable line contains optical fiber ground wire (OPGW), underground cable and submarine cable, and it needs the typical application scene-oriented monitoring technology and system to conduct lightning strike identification and location, cable swaying monitoring, partial discharge sensing, and external force destruction event warning and so on. Therefore, the integrated optical fiber sensing technology, radar tracking, video identification and wireless location methods are adopted in the intelligent panoramic state monitoring system design, and corresponding software platform with machine learning function to quickly identify and diagnose the faults is also described, so that the panoramic monitoring system possesses the capability with land, ocean and air three-dimensional measurement, analysis and diagnosis. The proposed monitoring system scheme benefits the power transmission line operation and maintenance, and helps to construct the digital power system intelligent monitoring infrastructure.
