Network Biology of KEGG Enriched Viral Comorbidities in Psoriasis Subjects

Network biology is now becoming one of the emerging streams to understand the pathophysiology of diseases as they generate bio molecular networks as undirected graphs, which are manageable to conveniently view. In our demonstration, we performed the initial enrichment of DEGs obtained from psoriasis subjects in DAVID. From which, two KEGG pathways in addition to eight GO terms were collected. Moreover, the genes were uploaded in NetworkAnalyst and protein to protein interaction network was studied for 16 sub networks. The KEGG annotation of the first, big sub network was enriched in pathways associated with measles and influenza A, for which the hubs were spotlighted. The other 15 sub networks were explored in KEGG and found to be linked with the synthesis and metabolism of various bio molecules.
