Processing of Arc Array Bistatic SAR Data with a Moving Receiver

The arc array bistatic synthetic aperture radar (AA-BiSAR) system contains two major parts: the fixed transmitter with the high transmit power and several passive receivers that can move back and forth, which can assist helicopters landing, exploration, patrol in low-altitude. However, since the special arc-shaped structure of receiver antenna, it is difficult to derive the two-dimensional frequency spectrum by the stationary phase principle directly. In addition, there will exist serious range migration when the receiver is moving, and the relative position between the transmitter and receiver is changes with time. In order to resolve above problems, an imaging algorithm based on series reversion is proposed in this paper. First, the range migration introduced by the movement receiver is compensated in the range-frequency domain. And then, based on the accurate approximation of slant range in high-order, the two-dimensional spectrum of AA-BiSAR system is derived via the series inversion method. Consequently, the corresponding range migration correction, the range compression and the azimuth matched filtering are completed based on the derived two-dimensional spectrum. Finally, in order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, simulation in an imaged scene with a total of 9 point targets is carried out, simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
