Further Investigation and Analysis of Radiation Fields of an Improved Wire TEM Horn

The experiment design of an improved wire TEM horn with an upper plate, a vertical plate, a current return plate, grounded load for the current return plate, PEC pad and a feed source got by capacitor discharge, is given firstly. Then the radiation fields of the improved wire TEM horn are got by experiment and simulation. According to the investigation and analysis of both the results, the radiation performance in lower frequency band of TEM horn has been enhanced if our design in this paper is employed.
