Application of the Flux Transfer Theory Regarding SFCL in the Case of HVDC

A novel SFCL model for HVDC was created and the real short circuit current was measured. In the original grid, the prospective short circuit current was expected 570 A DC, in the novel solution, the reduced short circuit current was measured between 40–10 A DC. The applied superconducting closed tape loop was prepared by femtosecond laser at room temperature without any damage of the superconducting tape. This paper presents the measured currents of this test device during the fault and recovery time. The cutting parameters of the superconducting tape are also presented.
