Parameter Analysis of Multi-point Mooring System under Extreme Sea Conditions

Based on the time domain theory, sensitivity analysis of multi-point mooring system is carried out on the different components proportion of mooring line and the position of fairlead in order to explore the influence of parameters variation of multi-point mooring system on the motion response of floating structure under extreme sea conditions. The analysis results show that keeping the length of mooring line unchanged and increasing the weight of chain are conducive to reducing the horizontal motion of semi-submersible platform. As the height of fairlead increases, the tension of mooring line increases obviously and the safety factor decreases.
