Analysis of Vibration Response and Fatigue Durability of a Large Airborne Radar Antenna⁎

Aiming at the difficulty of fatigue strength design of airborne radar under long-term, high-level durability vibration, the research on the optimization design of large antenna structure and the analysis method of fatigue durability has been carried out. Using topology optimization technology, based on the best force transmission path, the best material distribution and structural configuration of the typical load-bearing components of the antenna are obtained. The analysis results show that the frequency of the optimized configuration is nearly doubled compared with the original design, and the structural deformation is reduced by about 80% under the same load. Based on structural dynamics and fatigue analysis technology, the optimized structure is fully evaluated, and its dynamic strength, deformation, acceleration response and fatigue performance all meet the design requirements. The durability vibration test results show that the structural characteristic curves before and after the test are in good agreement, and the appearance does not change significantly. The antenna successfully passed the 9-hour/axial vibration test, and the antenna structure optimization achieved the expected results.
