Performance Comparison Between MIMO-NOMA 4x4 and MIMO-OMA 4x4

Many research has presented that Non- Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) outperforms the performance of Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) since NOMA can provide high demand requirements such as very low latency, high spectral efficiency, improve network capacity, and serve enormous demand of connectivity. Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) is also known as a very versatile technology that can improve capacity since it can elevate the achievable data rate. The combination of MIMO and NOMA (MIMO-NOMA) is expected to achieve a greater capacity compared to the combination of MEMO and OMA (MEMO-OMA). This paper will present the performance of MIMO-NOMA 4x4 compare to MIMO-OMA 4x4 applied on the downlink network in Rayleigh fading channel for three users and four users. The result of this paper is presented by a simulation that shows MIMO-NOMA 4x4 reach a higher achievable data rate than MEMO-OMA 4x4.
