A Novel Approach for Overload and Short Circuit Protection System

The purpose of this project is to provide protection against overload and short circuit. Over current protection is nothing but the protection against the current beyond the certain limit. It generally triggers instantly. Its purpose is to keep the system safe whenever any abnormal condition occurs. Overload relays cut off current to the load such motor or other devices, when a high-current situation occurs due to a ground fault, short circuit etc. These are an inexpensive way to avoid the downtime for repairing or replacing the failed equipment from excessive current. Generally it might cause the transformer to overheat and damage the equipment and as we know in long run it can result into cracks in insulation. So by making the circuit we set the preset values of limiting current, timer preset and short circuit. When the conditions are met the circuit activates to cut of loads and save the transformer
