Directional Molecular Communication among nanomachines in massive bacteria-based Nanonetwork

Diffusion-based molecular communication can be very inefficient especially in large-scale nanonetworks because the molecules move randomly. In this paper, we have developed a bacteria-based nanonetwork model and investigated the effect of bacteria carriers on message delivery among nanomachines in a massive nanonetwork. By improving the efficiency of communication in nanonetwork, it is possible to realize fast cooperative communication among nanomachines, by which nanomachines are able to conduct more complex tasks such as target tracking. We then conduct simulation experiments to evaluate the performance of directional molecular communication based on different conditions.
