Open-source Platform Utilization for Electricity Measuring

This paper deals with the utilization of opensource platform for measuring basic quantities of electricity. Nowadays measuring devices of electricity distribution operator are mostly devices that are suitable for measuring basic quantities, that are energies in particular lines. The better ones can measure additionally active and reactive power (positive or negative), power factor, some types of harmonics or they can substitute some switching device. The auxiliary function of course increases the overall price, and measuring device will be much more expensive. For that reason, the aim of this paper was to present the design of open-source platform that will be utilized for measuring basic quantities of electricity and as a benefit; this device can evaluate some specific behavior of consumer or can point to problem of quality of electricity. In the paper there are presented also selected measuring days and the values are discussed.
