Novel High Step-Up Isolated DC-DC Converter With Nondissipative Snubber and Switched-Capacitor Techniques

This paper proposes a novel high step-up dc-dc converter with coupled inductor, nondissipative snubber and switched-capacitor techniques. The capacitors are charged in parallel and are discharged in series by the coupled inductor. Thus, the converter can achieve high step-up voltage gain without incurring a high coupled inductor turns ratio. Furthermore, the energy stored in the leakage inductance of the coupled inductor can be recycled via the nondissipative snubber on the primary side, thus improving the system efficiency. An experimental prototype with 24 V input voltage, 400 V output voltage, and 200 W output power is implemented in the laboratory to verify the effectiveness of the proposed converter.
