Abstract:

An Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) is an optoelectronic system that operates on the basis of electroluminescence, or the recombination in the organic layer. By implementing some of the effective layers, such as injection layers, blocking layers, and so on, we were able to overcome substrate losses owing to Total Internal Reflection (TIR) and maximize the out-coupling efficiency of the OLED device. A layer of dielectric nanospheres made of Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) material is implemented, that acts as anti-reflective coating (ARC) suitable for the required wavelength range of 500nm-600nm on top of the substrate to break the substrate air interface losses and enhance light extraction efficiency (LEE).

I. Introduction

Optoelectronics, also known as optronics, is a device that can detect and supervise light and can be used as a source. It is also regarded as a photonics sub-field. It may be an optical-to-electrical or electrical-to-optical transducer [1]. Optoelectronic devices include telecommunication lasers, blue lasers, optical fiber, LED traffic lights, photodiodes, solar cells, and OLEDs [2].
