Three-Dimensional Completion Method with Uniformity Decision Mechanism for Spectrum Sensing Data

As civil aerial vehicles are explosively increasing, three-dimensional (3D) spectrum maps are very crucial in spectrum management and security applications. In practice, the original spectrum sensing data is limited and unevenly distributed, the existing popular interpolation methods have poor performance under this condition. This paper proposes a 3D completion method with uniformity decision mechanism for spectrum sensing data. It introduces a uniformity decision mechanism to choose the appropriate completion method, i.e., the spectrum data interpolation method driven by spectrum data and channel model for high-uniformity case and the equivalent radiation source location estimation based method for low-uniformity case. The completion performance of the proposed method is verified under single and multiple radiation sources scenario.
