Antimicrobial Properties of Polyimide Film Obtained by Two-Step Treatments

I In this study, a simple, two-step method used to obtain antimicrobial properties of the Kapton films surface was presented. The combination of plasma treatment and the solution of silver nanoparticles resulted in an increase in antimicrobial activity. The energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX) proved that the sample with the highest content of nitrogen and silver have also the highest cell viability value, showing better biocompatibility and very good antibacterial properties.
