Passive supervision of a hydrogen based power cell with virtual tanks

Power routing in power cells allows systems to help each other while maintaining their own performance. A new method for power sharing between different subsystems is presented that allows each component to keep a passive behavior while controlling his power reserves. Each subsystem is consequently endowed with a Virtual Energy Tank which captures the power reserves of the system, while being able to receive or supply power with other tanks or real storage units. The methodology is applied to a power cell with a wind turbine, a fuel cell and a conventional battery.
