Estimation of Electric Field Radiated from Wire Harness Based on Approximation of Common-Mode Current Distribution Using Asymmetric Dipole Antenna

In this study, we proposed a method for estimating the radiated electric field from a wire harness based on common-mode current measurements at one position of the wire and an equivalent dipole antenna approximation. The validation of the method was confirmed by simulations and experiments, and the results showed that the peak frequency and field level can be estimated within an estimation error of about 20 MHz and 8 dB, respectively.
