Robust Drive Controlling System Based on Road Sign Detection for Low-Resolution Images

A driver assistance system monitors and alerts the driver continuously about the traffic signs, reducing the chance of accidents due to neglecting or misinterpreting traffic signs. It is a computerized approach with a minimal error rate. The proposed model continuously searches for a traffic sign, estimates its predefined meaning, and alerts the driver to make the decision accordingly. The model architecture processed the German Traffic Sign dataset using 2D-Convolution layers combined with dropout, max pooling and got 99.022% test accuracy. This proposed model can be integrated with advanced driver-assistance systems to aid the driver and prevent accidents due to neglecting or misinterpreting traffic signs.
