The Study on Stator Iron Loss Calculation Method of High-Speed Permanent Magnet Generator Based on Slip Boundary Condition

Because of its high frequency and high speed, stator iron loss density of high-speed permanent magnet generator (HSPMG) is much larger than traditional motor. In order to prevent the motor from the irreversible demagnetization of permanent magnet caused by overheating or from the aging of insulation materials of motor, it is important to calculate stator iron loss of HSPMG accurately. A stator iron loss calculation model of motor suitable for high frequency working conditions is established based on loss compositions of silicon steel sheet and the mechanism of each composition. At the same time, in order to accurately and efficiently obtain the stator magnetic flux density time domain waveforms which are required to calculate iron loss, the magnetic field calculation model of motor based on slip boundary condition is proposed. This paper analyses and calculates the time domain magnetic field distribution and loss distribution of HSPMG, and sets up a test platform. The correctness and efficiency of the proposed method is verified by testing the back electromotive force and loss of generators at different speeds.
