Research on Scattering Characteristics of Ship Targets on Two-Dimensional Dynamic Sea Surface

Due to the interaction between the sea surface and the ship, the ship has translational and rotational motion on the sea surface. This movement of the ship will affect the estimated value of the radar cross section (RCS). Therefore, it's necessary to determine the posture of the ship. In this paper, the model of six degrees of freedom motion of ship is first introduced. Then the strip method is used to determine the ship motion on the dynamic sea surface under different sea conditions. Finally, the simulation for time-varying composite ship-ocean scene is carried out. Numerical results and discussion are given. It is find that the sea state has a great impact on the ship motion and RCS of the target. And the ship motion also affects the distribution of the strong scattering points of the coupling field.
