A Hybrid Fast Hankel Transform Algorithm for Electromagnetic Simulation of Multilayer Medium Problem

A hybrid fast Hankel transform technique used for calculation of layered medium Green's function and matrix filling of integral equation has been proposed. This method combines the fast Hankel transform (FHT) and steepest descent path (SDP), and uses interpolation technology in the vertical direction. Compared with the traditional FHT or SDP method, this hybrid method enhances the efficiency of the Green's function calculation. Moreover, during the matrix filling, instead of basis traversal, this method uses element traversal. Applying these two methods, the time consumption of electromagnetic simulation for layered medium problem is greatly reduced. A numerical example is given to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
