Research on Space Vector Pulse Width Over-Modulation Strategy Applying to Matrix Converter

In order to improve VTR of the MC with SVPWM, an improved over-modulation SVPWM method is presented. The weights of basic vector and hexagon vector in referenced voltage vector are redesigned. Output performances including voltage error and THD with the traditional and improved over-modulation methods are comparatively analyzed. Simulation results and the experiment are provided for validating the practicability of the improved over-modulation method. Simulation results verify that the improved over-modulation method performs better of smaller output voltage error and lower THD. Experimental results indicate that theoretical analysis is right and the improved over-modulation method is feasible.
