A Survey Comparision of Switched Inductor and Switched Inductor Quasi ZSI Topologies

The Z Source Inverter (ZSI) is a more recent alternative to the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) and Current Source Inverter (CSI) (CSI). This work discusses main and advanced topologies such as Switched Inductor ZSI (SLZSI) and Switched Inductor Quasi ZSI (SLQZSI). Furthermore, this paper discusses the most important control strategies and modulation techniques for these converters, including the Simple Boost Control (SBC), the Maximum Boost Control (MBC), the Third Harmonic Injection Maximum Boost Control (MBCTH), and the Maximum Constant Boost Control (MCBC) (MCBC). The topologies outlined were also simulated in MATLAB with passive loads, and the results for each control approach for each inverter design were reported.
