IRS Aided OAM-MIMO Communication

The Capacity of Wireless orbital angular momentum-based multiple inputs multiple outputs (OAM-MIMO) can be improved by deploying Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS) of a large number of reconfigurable passive elements to control wireless propagation environment. In this paper, we focus on IRS-assisted OAM-MIMO in multipath environment. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves a better performance compared to the conventional OAM based MIMO transmission.
