Multi-objective Satellite Selection Strategy Based on Entropy

In ocean sailing, the low earth orbit constellation is an effective means to ensure the normal communication of the ship. Because the ship is covered by multiple low-orbit satellites at the same time, and the communication quality of a satellite is affected by multiple factors. In order to ensure that the ship selects a satellite with good communication quality while traveling, this paper proposes an entropy-based multi-objective optimization satellite selection strategy and handover process. Verification by two constellations Starlink and OneWeb, the results show that the satellite selection strategy proposed in this paper can achieve better performance than existing satellite selection strategies.
