In-the-loop Simulation Experiment of Aero-engine Fault-tolerant Control Technology

The performance simulation model of turbofan engine was established by Microsoft Visual Studio, and the adaptive model was established on this basis to provide accurate analytical redundancy for fault-tolerant control system. Health parameter estimation method is used to obtain the variation of engine measurement parameters after component performance degradation, which solves the inconsistency between model estimation and real engine measurement parameters due to performance degradation and individual differences. In order to verify the performance of the designed fault-tolerant control system, the simulation experiment of the real loop was carried out. Based on the hardware platform of dual-core processor module of NXP QorlQ P2020, the augmented state variable model with Kalman filter is used to modify the adaptive model, so as to estimate the parameter degradation of real engine parts and realize the fault tolerant control of the engine. The simulation results show that the fault-tolerant control of the controller with analytic redundancy for sensor faults on the embedded platform meets the design requirements.
