An envelope surface method for determining oscillation of an advanced 2D discrete convection system

This article is concerned with an advanced two-dimensional (2D) discrete convection system. By means of the theory of envelopes, we consider the regions of non-positive roots of its characteristic equation. A sufficient and necessary condition for all solutions of this system to be oscillatory is obtained. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the main result of this article.
