Registration approach of viruses by using the electromagnetic echo effect

Early identification of viruses is extremely important for efficient disease management and control. A new approach for creating virus sensors based on the Electromagnetic echo effect (EMEE) is proposed. An important feature is that the signal from EMEE is highly dependent on the state of the studied sample. This makes it possible to control ongoing reactions, even if they are invisible to the human eye or other equipment. We demonstrate the applicability of the approach for registering a reaction occurring in the presence of an avian coronavirus that causes infectious bronchitis, strain Massachusetts. The same approach can be effectively utilized for quick detection of the presence of other types of viruses as well bio samples, thus enabling reliable control of their spreading in the environment or patient diagnosis.
