Stability of Spatiotemporal Soliton in Multimode Fiber with Optically Induced Temporal Potential

We investigate the soliton stability in multimode fiber with an optically induced temporal potential (TP). The soliton experiences a cross-phase-modulation-induced TP when co-propagating with a pump pulse. While without the TP both the spatiotemporal soliton and continuous wave are stable, the TP makes only the spatiotemporal soliton stationary and stable.
