Effect of the nested elements to the confinement losses in chalcogenide hollow-core fibers

Confinement losses of the chalcogenide tubular hollow-core fiber with elliptical nested elements were numerically presented for the mid-infrared region. A 0.19 dB/km confinement loss was calculated at
$10.6 \mu \mathrm{m}$
for the proposed fiber designed out of A
S2
S
3
chalcogenide glass.
